We represent individuals at all stages of criminal proceedings. We have extensive jury trial experience in felony and misdemeanor cases and have brought numerous successful appeals before the Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts
Appeals Court. Our attorneys, who include a former Assistant District Attorney and a court-appointed Bar Advocate, have handled cases involving all types of charges from operating under the influence and assault and battery to robbery and kidnapping. We can and will get you the best possible result in your criminal case.
Examples from our Criminal Practice:
- We obtained dismissal of a charge of mayhem against our client for the failure of the prosecution to present sufficient evidence to the grand jury.
- In an OUI case where our client was stopped at a State Police roadblock, we successfully moved for acquittal of our client at the end of the prosecution's case at trial.
- We obtained a reversal our client's felony conviction by the Massachusetts Appeals Court and, after it was remanded to Norfolk Superior Court, obtained a subsequent dismissal of the case.
- In a Massachusetts Appeals Court case, we successfully argued for a stay of execution
of our client's sentence resulting in his immediate release from incarceration.
- As a result of our filings, the Commonwealth conceded error in a case against our client which resulted in the reversal of his convictions and dismissal of the case.
- In a case before the Massachusetts Appeals Court, we successfully argued for the reversal of our client's conviction for operating under the influence, for the reduction of the charge, and for an order for re-sentencing.
- In a case that had previously been appealed to the Supreme Judicial Court, which had affirmed our client's conviction, we successfully brought a Motion for a New Trial resulting in a reversal of the conviction and preventing the deportation of our client.
